Experience

From 1982 to 1995, he served as Associate Professor and Head of the Oncology Department at the Hannover Medical School.
From 1995 to 2014, he taught and headed the Fourth Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Oncohematology at Martin Luther University in Halle, Germany.
From 2008 to 2014, he was the founding director of the Center for Cellular and Gene Medicine at Martin Luther University.
Since 2014, he has been Head of the Department of Clinical Oncology at Martin Luther University in Halle, Germany.
